This lesson will have a worksheet where students will write the words that stand for the contractions.

This is for third to fifth grade students.

Procedure

First, you will copy the worksheet so that each one will have a copy.

Then, you will explain to the students about contractions.

A contraction stands for two words.

Example: can't = cannot

After that, you will pass out the worksheet so that each one will have a copy.

Grading

Each one is worth five points for a total of ten points.

100 to 90 = A

89 to 80 = B

79 to 70 = C

69 to 60 = D

Below 60 = F
