Achievement Academy, the

The Achievement Academy is a private, non-profit school specifically designed for children with Asperger's Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, and related disorders. 

In order to help our students achieve their full potential, our school provides:

• Customized, individualized instruction to address their diverse learning styles, attention deficits and challenges in socializeion and peer relations.


• Research- and Nevada Standards-based curriculum taught at ability level to ensure mastery of skills and maximize learning.


• Intensive and consistent daily social skills intervention and training to help facilitate friendships and appropriate peer relationships.


• Life Skills Room which features a kid-sized restaurant, post office, bank and student store to develop and practice age-appropriate life skills necessary to manage the demands of daily life in the home, community and future work.


• Small class sizes which allows greater flexibility to address social situations in the moment and in context.


• Safe, nurturing environment that understands and celebrates each student's wonderful uniqueness.


• Daily inclusion with typically-developing children during the most social times of the day -- lunch and recess.

The Achievement Academy is located on the site of DJ's Community Christian Academy.
