School Description

At Little Lambs you will discover a safe and inviting family setting in which your child aged six weeks through five years of age can thrive. Our staff is first-rate, with years of experience and a passion for caring for children. Unlike other child care centers, Little Lambs offers flexible programming weekdays, 52 weeks a year. That means you can define your own childcare plan. Based upon daily space available, child care schedules can be changed to meet your family's changing needs.

We lovingly embrace your child within a safe and nurturing environment to create a Christian “away from home” family.  Our caring staff responds to the unique patterns of growth and development of your child and focuses on appropriate stimulation of each child’s physical, cognitive, social and emotional growth.

We offer half-day and full-day tuition programming based on the family's needs.  This includes homemade breakfast, nutritional snacks and lunch for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years of age.  We are open year-round, only closing for major holidays.  We believe that family comes first and are the only program in the area that provides each family with two weeks of "Little Lambs Days" or vacation per school year to be used at your discretion.

Little Lambs offers afternoon enrichment programming including gymnastics by Troy Gymnastics, foreign language instruction by The Yak Academy and music and movement.  Most importantly, our children are introduced to the Christian faith through weekly Bible stories, Children's Chapel and daily blessings and prayers.  Little Lambs welcomes all children of any faith.

Due to our intimate class sizes, waiting lists are often established.  Please contact our director, Kristen Farrar, well in advance of your desired start date.

  • Little Lambs at Christ Church Cranbrook is a fabulous school. My kids love the teachers and the wonderful programs they have including the gymnastics and foreign language classes. I would recommend this daycare/school to any parent.

  • I cannot say enough -- all glowingly positive -- about LL (as we call it). Loving, nurturing, there because they love children caregviers; High Scope curriculum, 2 meals/day (1 hot!), a brand-spanking new play structure...like I said, I can't say enough! My oldest "graduated" in 2008; my youngest in 2011 and I'm already sad about it!

  • Little Lambs has a wonderful caring environment. Teachers not only take care of your children, they give them the same love you would at home. Little Lambs has a wonderful caring environment. Teachers not only take care of your children, they give them the same love you would at home.

On top of that, their teaching program for music, art and educational material is wonderful. I feel like my child has excelled in so many different areas because of Little Lambs.

  • We have been attending Little Lambs for the past seven years and continue to adore the program. I have one graduate who attends Bloomfield public schools and a current pre-schooler who has attended for the past two years. As a mom who works from home, finding a program that was flexible and could adapt to my schedule was a huge challenge. Little Lambs half day program is 4.5 hours! I am able to drop him off in the morning where he has breakfast with his friends and teachers and then pick him up after lunch. The socialization, love, attention and educational instruction are amazing. They are so family-friendly as well--we receive 2 weeks vacation each year which allows us to spend time together as a family without worrying about paying for time we aren't there.

I think the best aspect for me is the class size. The program is small by design and will never turn into a "mega-kid center" so I love that my son receives such individual attention from each of his teachers and the staff. The families are also close and involved with the program as well.

We are just thrilled that we discovered the program when we did as both of our children have thrived during their time at Little Lambs!
