Friends Community School is a place where young people become active learners, independent thinkers, problem solvers, respectful teammates, peacemakers, and engaged citizens.  FCS is a Quaker school that welcomes students of all faiths and backgrounds.  We offer developmentally appropriate, experiential, and rigorous curriculum.  We teach using a child-centered instructional philosophy.  As a LEED certified green school, we offer environmental education integrated throughout the science, social studies and research/writing curriculum.  The 17 acre school campus adjoins Greenbelt National Park.  For further information, visit our website or call Director of Admissions Connie Belfiore at 301-441-2100.
