(5 / 5) Flag as inappropriate - I love this school. my daughter attends the two day program and she loves it. They take an aproach to learning that makes the children think that they are not learning. Its a wonderful school that makes you feel like family not just a parent.

- This is a superb school. They have expanded their offering from early 3's to 2nd grade, and built a beautiful new energy efficient school building to accommodate the expansion. The curriculum is creative yet challenging, incorporating the arts (drama, puppetry, music, art, dance) in a project based approach to learning. They follow the MD state Curriculum, yet both my children are ahead on their math and reading and I think this is partly due to the small class sizes where they can get the focus and attention they need, and partly due to the excellent teachers and approach to early childhood education. The teachers encourage parental involvement, and keep weekly contact with parents on the development of their children's curriculum. They encourage outdoor learning and play, which on the 17 acre farm with its vegetable and sensory plant gardens, forest walks and pond provide for plenty of outdoor scientific experiments. Well known artists and musicians are often invited to the school to participate and teach, as well as participate in family oriented school events.
