  • I know this is late, but here is my review based on my grand daughter and, what I have heard and observed.
I live in Northern Mn, and due to both my husbands and my medical problems I do not get down to the twin cities often anymore.
My grand daughter has been at Calvary Christian School for 3 years now, and what an amazing difference I have seen!
I have seen her go from not wanting to read, to loving to read. My grand daughter still says she is not the fastest reader...but she is reading, and she loves it! My grand daughter if she has questions said, "Now I ask grandma, in public school they were so busy there just was not time to explain things or, for extra help when needed it. And I don't have to be at the same exact place, or go as fast or slow as another at Calvary, and you know as a result I understand what I am doing and, I retain a lot more this way too."
I have seen my grand daughters confidence, and self-esteem go from barely there to, having this again.
My grand daughter seemed to have a lot of late nights, in the public school involving homework, writing reports, research projects and things of this nature where it was becoming more common for her to be up doing these things until midnight some nights
and, as a result her focus in school the next day was not there.
Don't get me wrong, my grand daughter still has home work to do on occasion at Calvary, but her homework is manageable and, she knows what needs to be done, and does it without a word exchanged between she, her Dad and Mom.
I have seen the Paces that my grand daughter has brought with her to work on up here, and she has explained to me how these work and, I was quite impressed, with how she explained daily goals and, that these are attainable goals for her. In fact there are times her Mom has said, "Don't you think you are far enough ahead? You are here to see grandma and Papa too!"
As a result of feeling successful in school, and with her school work she is also interested and wants to go above the mark, per say.
But my grand daughter is also the first to point out, that The Lord blessed her with some very special people at her school like her teachers, there helpers, class mates, her Pastor, and parents.
Before leaving our home over the holidays. my grand daughter looked at me and said, "Remember grandma, with God all things are possible!"
My daughter gave me this site for doing a review of schools quite some time ago, but I just ran across it again and, before misplacing this wanted to get this posted.
Thank you for your effort and investment, in our kids!!
I have seen a beautiful flower open in this school over the last 3 years, that my grand daughter has been going to Calvary Christian School.
