I do not know about Nevins Road, however, my children went to Apple Montessori in Montville, NJ. We lived in a small home and drove older cars because we thought it was that important to send our kids here. I would do it again in a heartbeat. My children are both above average in their work habits and dislay better manners (which, by the way is part of their day) and the school does not just concentrate on the reading program. I can see a child and be able to tell from their demeanor if they went to Montessori. Montessori gives kids the base for what they need to succeed by giving them good homework habits, etc. I would never chose another preschool.

ps. Because it's an actual program, it doesn't matter who the director is since everything is already set.

Sounds live the Nevins one has issues!

Do you think Apple Montessori prepares 4 year olds better than other schools? They will learn to read, writte and do basic math? What is the real difference from a kid that went to Apple Montessori versus another regular prek program

I agree with the review about Mr.s Haworth, and about how they take in alot of kids, then have no space for them beyond kindergarten, i have asked myself that question, how do they get away with it, do parents not know statistic? what is only 12 kids in a 1st grade class, so if there are 27 in each kindergarten class, on half of one kindergarten class gets to go on to 1st grade. How can this be? It is simple wrong. I also agree about the reading to your child at a young age, its true just buy them the good books, they will be just fine.

THE TEACHING METHODS REALLY THE READING PROGRAM, IS GOOD, HOWEVER THEY TAKE IN ALOT OF PRESCHOOLERS, YET HAVE NO SPACE FOR 1ST GRADERS AND BEYOND!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS, PARENTS DON'T SUPPORT THIS SCHOOL, BELIEVE ME THERE ARE OTHER WAYS THAT YOUR CHILDREN CAN BECOME GOOD READERS AND ITS BY YOU READING TO THEM AT AN EARLY AGE, FACT IS KIDS THAT ARE HEALTHY CAN ALL BE GOOD READERS!! ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS BUY THEM EDUCATIONAL THINGS, ALL DR. SEUSS' BOOKS ARE GOOD!! AND ITS NOT EXPENSIVE LIKE APPLE MONTESSORI, TRUST ME I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT I'M A TEACHER OF 3 GIRLS, NONE OF THEM WENT TO MONTESSORI, I SIMPLY READ TO THEM, AND THEY ARE ALL SMART BRIGHT YOUNG GIRLS, DON'T BUY INTO THIS RIDICULOUS SCHOOL BECAUSE THERE IS NO FUTURE IN THIS SCHOOL FOR YOUR CHILD PAST KINDERGARTEN!!

One of the owners, Mrs. Haworth, is an extremely stuck up woman, she carries herself in away that is snobish, she is at the nevins rd school, she also advances teachers, who she feels follow her attitude. She really needs to consider people as people, and not look down on them, she goes against the principles of the montessori system, her school should be investigated, parents should be questioned about the way that school/system is unfair, they take in alot of preschoolers, and then say sorry but we don't have space for your child, after you have spent all that money for preschool, HOW COULD THE STATE LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS! PARENTS SHOULD NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS!! PARENTS PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS SCHOOL THEY'LL TAKE IT AND THEN SAY SORRY BUT THERE IS NO SPACE FOR YOUR CHILD!!!

the teaching methods of this system is good, however i believe as well as a lot of parents that all they care about is making money, notice how they fill up their classes its ridiculous! then there isn't any room for your child to go to 1st grade? they are either racist OR preferential-they select the kids that they like to go on to the 1st grade, not only that, they only have nevins rd junior classes, this is an outrage! why is this? Has anyone ever asked themselves that? my son was there for 3 years, and he was not accepted into the junior class! The state needs to come into that school and investigate them!
