  • Both of our children go to Our Lady of the Magnificat School with the oldest one entering his 5th year. When we decided to first enroll them 5 year ago , we didn’t know a lot about the school other than our trust in the importance of integrating faith with education and many recommendations from friends. This decision was probably the best one we have ever made. OLM has been a critical component of every aspect of their development. Academically our kids are always among the top percentiles in standardized testing (Terra Nova) and been invited to elite national academic programs; Spiritually the school has reinforced the importance of God in our everyday life and; Socially they have developed to be responsible, caring and friendly children.

We expect a lot from OLM and as such every year we make a conscious decision on whether our children should continue to go and every year the results of our analysis continue to be YES.

The teachers each bring unique experiences and learning to our kids and this isn’t just a job for them but they have a genuine interest in the success of the students.

Here are a few more additional reasons I like OLM:
    - OLM after-care program is excellent – teachers participate and support the children to do their homework
    - The facility is very modern and the gym is one of the best I have seen.
    - The school setting is beautiful – its sits nestled in the woods.
    - I love the integration of technology in the classroom. OLM was among the first schools in the area to deploy Smart Boards (electronic interactive whiteboard).

  • My family and I have been part of OLM School for many years and I think the quality of an OLM education is best evidenced in its graduates. These young adults graduate confident, well-mannered and ready to face all the challenges ahead. Through the nurturing of experienced teachers, mentoring of caring volunteers and guidance of the exceptional religious and staff, OLM graduates continue to excel in high school, college and beyond. Children are taught more than academics, they are taught how to be productive and successful, all the while caring for others and remembering to give back.

  • I have been happily associated with Our Lady of the Magnificat School for over 18 years and I have only the highest praise for its administration, faculty, student body and curriculum. You wont be dissatisfied if you choose this school for your family. The academics are demanding so if you do not expect your child can keep up, this may not be the place for you. The atmosphere is friendly and all the teachers are willing to give extra help to any student who needs it. Take a look for yourself

  • All of my children attend OLM school and we could not be happier. As a career educator I am extremely discriminating when it comes to my children's education and this school has never failed to deliver.

The student-teacher ratio is low enough to allow each student to receive the individualized attention that enhances the educational experience for all children. The teachers are top-notch professionals with foundations in both traditional pedagogy as well as more innovative techniques.

The principal is a professional in every sense of the word. She knows each student by more than name. She consistently spends time in the classroom so she is fully aware of what is going on in the school. Her willingness to assist both students and parents is unfailing. Her commitment to the education of every student is demonstrated in their academic achievement. Objectively, OLM students' performance is exceptional.

My children attended OLM for several years before we relocated out of the area and when we returned we did not hesitate to re-enroll our children. There is no other school in this area that provides the combination of Catholic character-building with academic excellence.

  • Our daughter has attended OLM since Pre-K 3. She is now in the 7th grade. She was carried into the school by the teacher in Pre-K3, and now has daily interaction with that same teacher for other academic work. The teachers know the students, and certainly the students know the teachers. The closeness she has with classmates, teachers, and other parents cannot be overestimated and is going to provide her with life-long friends, surrogate family and stability. We attribute this in part to her educational immersion, with people of similar belief and values. The student-teacher ratio is small, the individual instruction, focus on individual but collegial achievement, the sense of individual worth coupled with an emphasis on teamwork and societal responsiblity....this is what our daughter gets at OLM. The school and its member families work as a team, with the goal being always the betterment of the students. Folks, it doesn't get any better. No school or life experience is perfect, for sure. One can (and should) work to improve anything, but in the present tense, OLM provides a warm, nurturing, academically superior and yes...disciplined and safe....environment for our daughter, and I would venture to say, for all the other lucky students at OLM. We look forward to working hard as a community, so that future generations of Catholic (and other faith) students will benefit from this marvelous educational resource and experience. Work together, play together, pray together, stay together....that's OLM School.

  • I have children currently attending the OLM School and I would highly recommend OLM to all families. The faculty is deeply committed to supporting and guiding each of its students in their educational development and achievement. My children are performing at highest proficiency in standardized testing and I definitely attribute these results to the excellent academic instruction received at OLM. The buildings and grounds of this Catholic elementary school are unparalleled. It is a beautiful, modern facility tucked away in a pristine, natural setting. As of this past January, OLM incorporated smart boards into the curriculum and every classroom. The kids love them! It is not often that a Catholic elementary school in an affluent surburban school district can tout greater access to cutting edge technology in every classroom than its public school counterpart. I have yet to find a school that invests so much in the formation of each of its students. As I watch my children grow into confident, compassionate, active young learners, I feel immense gratitude for the blessing of their OLM education.
