Being a believer in the Montessori method, I can tell you that there is no better environment for educating our little people.
There are two schools in Lancaster with the Montessori name. Don't be fooled! Lancaster Montessori on West Fair Ave. is the real deal.
If you are looking for a glorified, high-priced daycare center, then the other school might be for you, but if you want an exemplary educational experience for your child, you cannot go wrong with Suzie and her staff at Lancaster Montessori.
My children were enrolled in Montessori programs before our relocation to Lancaster in 2001 so I know if a school's program is up to par. In fact, My daughter was enrolled in the other school for about two weeks before we pulled her and got her into Lancaster Montessori. You can do all the investigative leg work you want but the real proof is the difference you see in your child. No longer did she cry when we dropped her off for the day.
My daughter is now in the fifth grade and her September birthday makes her the youngest in her class, but her teachers can vouch for her maturity and intellect which I feel are a product of her Montessori experience.
Do yourself and your children a favor and consider a Montessori school, but beware of imitations!
