(1 / 5) Flag as inappropriate - Attempted 2 years at this school. Does not follow montessori guidelines. the guides are nice but so afraid of the director because if you disagree with her she gets rid of you. one year she dismissed every guide. there is no security. you can walk in and 9 out of 10 times no one is in the office. there is no sign out procedure. any time i raised an issue she asked if there had been a birthday party over the weekend. so inappropriate.

(5 / 5) Flag as inappropriate - Highland Meadow Montessori Academy is a fine example of a loving, nurturing environment which excels at its mission. My children were in this school for 7 years and came away with a stellar education, excellent manners, terrific self-esteem, a love of learning and creative minds. The teachers were professional, the director was caring and responsive. Issues were resolved to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
If you are looking for a school where the administration and teachers cater to the individual whims and self-serving desires of the parents, do not choose it. They have the best interest of the students and the school in mind and make decisions based on information, not emotion or how much money a family has contributed. In my experience they have always been fair and made every effort to accommodate reasonable requests and suggestions, and welcome parents' involvement on any level.
I give the school a hearty endorsement and encourage anyone to visit the school.
