  • My son attended SSBA for Jr. and Sr. High School and is now in college. The teachers have a heart for their students. Their desire is to produce responsible Christian citizens. I cannot think of a better place to have placed my child during those critical formative years.
Many of the teachers have been there over 5 years and there are a few that have been there 10 and 15 years!
Keep looking up SSBA! We love ya!

  • Salem Sayers means well, but they simply lack the scale to be a "real school". They pay their teachers very little (even for a private Christian school associated with a small church). Therefore, the quality of many teachers is substandard. Due to lack of funds, this year (2005-2006) they have some teachers teaching multiple grades, including one teacher who teaches all subjects to 7th-12th grades! Worst of all, church politics frequently have a negative affect on the educational process, because some teachers and/or parents use their "positions" in the church to promote or resist school policies, or to protect their own children from disciplinary action.

The school administrator (who is effectively principal in daily matters) is a godly woman who is doing her best in an unmanageble organization.
