  • This is a very good school. Our son attended for 9 years and is excelling in high school. He had to work hard in this school which taught him great study skills. The teaching staff is very supportive and is always willing to work with families.

  • St. Pius is a wonderful school that offers challenging academic programs. The school prepares students to face the academic challenges of the future. The sense of community is overwhelming. My husband and three children attended the school and are successful professionals now.

  • Our son currently attends St. Pius X School. He loves it! We are very excited about our new principal this year (and for years to come)! She is very upbeat, positive, and very experienced with junior high students. She is genuinely interested in providing a challenging yet nurturing environment for our children. The teachers are very caring, dedicated and involved with the community. The school parents are very welcoming and have met some of my good friends through St. Pius. I can't call this just a school. It is more than that. It is a community of people that work together for the same goal of raising outstanding Christian leaders of society. I am looking forward to some great memorable years at St. Pius.

  • I have had 3 children attend St Pius over the past 15 years. In fact this is the last year for my 2 sons and while there have been some issues in the past with the principal I would strongly recommend this school to other parents. Not only do your children recieve a great education but they are part of a community of teachers, parents and volunteers who love the school and the parish.I would not hesitate sending my children here if givrn the choice again. Also, just so you know there will be a new principal at St Pius starting in the 2010-2011 school year, so don't let any negative comments about her keep you from sending your child to this school.

  • I was hesitant to switch my children from the public school system over to St. Pius, but after a few years there, I can say that it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I watched my children benefit from the smaller class sizes, as well as the personal attention given to their individual strengths. I love the interaction between the parents and the school, but the parents truly look out for one another's children. It is great to be part of this community!!

  • The school has several wonderful, competent, and caring, teachers, but our experience with the principal have been awful. We repeatedly asked that latches be installed and kept on the children’s restroom doors and soap in the dispensers. We were made to feel like we were pests and told that we must understand that it takes time for work-orders to be processed. That was 2 years ago and the problems still persist. The schools safety and injury policies are selectively enforced. Our son suffered a broken bone during P.E. class. While in the nurse’s office, the principal told him how another student broke his arm doing the same exercise when she was the P.E. teacher there but that she still insisted the kids do the exercise. The principal and the nurse then sent our son back to class to finish out the day. No one ever bothered to call us. We picked him up after school swollen, in pain, and half-dressed, he was hurting too much to put his pants back on. When we spoke with the principal about it, she was arrogant and dismissive towards us about the entire incident and said that the school policy was followed and that they would make the same decisions again. So, this could happen to any child attending school there. I strongly advise proceeding with caution, if you are considering this school.

  • Parents Beware! Although the school has several wonderful, competent, and caring, teachers, our experiences with the principal have been awful. She is selective in administering the schools own policies. Earlier in the year, our son suffered a broken bone during P.E. class. The school nurse treated his injury with an ice pack and an ACE bandage. While he was in the nurse’s office, the principal came in. She told him about when she was the P.E. teacher there and another student of hers broke his arm in P.E. doing the very same exercise. She told him about how upset that child’s parents were but how she still thought that the particular exercise was a good one for the students to participate in doing. Then she and school nurse sent our son back to class to finish out the remainder of the school day. We picked him up after school from the pick-up line, swollen, in pain, and half-dressed; still in gym clothes, because he was in too much pain to put his pants back on. No one from the school ever bothered to notify us that he was hurt. When we approached the principal about it, she was arrogant and dismissive towards us. She said that they were not obligated to call us that they followed the school’s policy regarding medical emergencies, and that she would make the same decisions again. So, this could happen to any child attending school there. I strongly advise proceeding with great caution, if you are considering this school.
