  • I can attest to the teachers not being able to serve the students better who do not get the University of Chicago Math. There are no recommendations made where to go for help and they don't tell you what area your child needs help in math. They don't care. Mrs. Gorman the first grade teacher should not teach math.

  • Please avoid this school!! Elementary teachers are not trained properly in how to teach the University of Chicago Math program. Students are struggling. Teachers who are hired by St. Thomas are parents with no prior teaching experience or who worked in a daycare setting.

  • This is is not only an unwelcoming environment, but is very intolerant. Racial issues between students are not handled at all in the past. The principal and administration is not proactive at all. Although 53% of the school is ethnic minorities the school does not boast about its diversity and tries to hind this fact. Take a look at the school's website.

  • The principal is not warm. She is not interested in parent's concerns. Students are given beyond grade level material, yet parents have to go home and teach the material to the student because it is not being taught appropriately in class as evidenced by the large amounts of homework. Many of these teachers are not certified by the state of Texas and come in with a daycare experience.

  • This is not a welcoming environment. Administration focus too much on marketing instead of retaining students whose parents are removing their children from this school.
There are issues concerning poor communication between parents and teachers and quality of teaching. There is a culture of teachers who feel they do not have to communicate with parents about what is going on in the classroom and elementary children are responsible for letting parents know. What is the reason for paying for education? The class size is just as large or perhaps larger than the Houston public schools. If a student is struggling in a subject teachers want a magic button by playing doctor and try to diagnose the student with a learning problem instead of recommending resources that will help. It seems this type of situation is on an increase at this school. Please avoid this frustration and aggravation. Not worth it.

  • My son has been attending since the 2nd grd now a 4th grader. There is not much here other than academics and religion class. Teachers/administration don't address bully's and their rigidness is off putting. If your child fits the mold then they will do just fine here.
