School Description
A "Unique Concept in Christian Education" Crossroads School is now celebrating our 12th year in the Private School business!
Crossroads School-Lakeland Campus, is located in Crestview Baptist Church in North Lakeland. Crossroads School is a K-12 Private, Special Educational School for Children with Disabilities and Low Income families. We are approved for the McKay and Step Up For Students (SUFS) Scholarships. If your child is enrolled in the Public School with an IEP or if you are eligible for the Free and Reduced Lunch Program in the Public Schools, you may qualify for FREE or REDUCED Tuition!
Crossroads School is a Christian, Faith Based School that emphasizes 10 Character Traits with a Scriptural foundation, (1) one per month. We recognize a student of the month that most exemplifies the Character Trait of the month by awarding them a Certificate and engraving their name on our Character Trait Plaque that is displayed in our reception area. We believe in motivating our students to succeed through the reinforcement of positive behavior.
Our school hours are from 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday. We follow Polk County's Public School Holidays for Christmas and Spring Break.
Our Academic Program consists of the following:
- NO Daily Homework
- NOMid Terms or Final Exams
- NO FCAT Testing
Crossroads School does administer the SAT 10 online as a Nationally Normed Test that is used as a Benchmark for progress, but is not used as a Pass/Fail qualifier. We are committed to an ALL IT technology delivered curriculum that is Web Based. We use Switched on School House (SOS) IT based curriculum. This \"state of the art\" Christian Curriculum includes a Bible Program and this "state of the art" approach to Christian Education will provide our students with a Christian "Worldview" to prepare them for life after school and for job placement.
Our schools are small campuses, small classrooms that provide for personal instruction in a structured environment. Our Student/Teacher ratio is no larger than 15:1.
We are also approved for Title I, Title II and IDEA Resources and provide for additional therapies that enhance our students academic experience.
Crossroads Schools are a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) the premier leader in Christian education. All Diplomas are accepted by Colleges, Universities and Vocational Schools.
