  • This week is Spring Break, but not for us who live next to the school. They started construction (mostly demolishing the sidewalks) each morning at 6:55 a.m.! There is no one in the office to contact and their website is down.go figure. This isn't the first time I have complained about noise before 8:00 a.m. They just don't seem to care. It took my husband threatening a lawsuit for them to finally stop their leaf blowing and tree trimming every Monday morning at 6:50. To some this may seem trivial, but I suffer from a debilitating neurological disease that makes it hard for me to go back to sleep after I have been awakened.

As for the comment about the moral among staff, it does not surprise me! If they will treat neighbors with a lackadaisical attitude, I am sure they do the same with staff.

  • Educators looking for work, don't look here as many of the teachers and staff in constant search for better paying and better benefits and better working conditions. The admin staff don't care about the classroom workers and there are no raises, 5 days sick leave and lousy moral. Students are the ones negatively affected because of the company's business like mentality of money, money, and more money.

  • The school's quality of education for special ed students is on a decline because of its for-profit corporate mentality. This company has been providing less than average employee benefits which in turn cannot hire qualify employees. The current staff are in constant search for other positions. Recent changes to employee's benefits, including sick time has been reduced by 50%(5 days a yr.). No pay raises for two years, but the company has funds to remodel facilities and pay bonuses to administrators. The moral in many of these schools are down and loyality does not exist as quality of education has mostly decreased.
