Both of our children are attending RMA and not only are they excelling above grade level in their academic work they are learning so much more. They are learning about community within the school as well as outside of the school. They are learning things that will help them develop self confidence and help them exceed in life as well. We could not be happier with our choice to enroll them at Riverstone Montessori!

- We love RMA and our kids do too! More than a school, RMA is an education community with teachers that care about each and every student and a culture that teaches students to care fore one another.
Because it is a true Montessori school, extra curricular activities are woven into the curriculum during school. If their studying water pollution, they samples from a lake. Before going to the Opera, they study that specific opera. Students making lunch for the class? Find the recipes, check the cupboards for what they need, make the grocery list and go shopping. Forgot to add an ingredient? Used salt instead of sugar? Lesson learned...
Really, lessons are being learned, because every age level is scoring above grade level on the IOWA ITBS given each year. 4th graders testing at grade 8 ... 8th graders all testing at grade 13 , in every category...
Our kids don't have traditional homework... they learn what they need in school. Our boys have time for sports and other activities outside of school.

- Beware! Does not follow traditional Montessori methods and classes are VERY unstructured. (...) is very difficult to deal with, not open or responsive to feedback or questions. Classroom size was nearly 25 to 1 not the 15 t to 1 that they advertise. Tuition has increased by 10% each year with no enrichment, athletic, or social programs offered as part of tuition (you can pay extra for items like guitar lessons, chess club, tumble bus). Our child had been there for 3 years and we decided to move her. Definitely research and talk to current and former families before enrolling.
