  • I've had two children in this school. Our oldest thrived in the primary environment, but only because she had an exceptional teacher. My youngest did not have a good experience. The elementary program is pathetic. It doesn't have any structure. One year in the elementary program degraded my child's reading level, but she did make about 50 purses.

The administration and board are unresponsive and apathetic.

The bottom line - there are individual teachers that are great, but the quality is not consistent from class to class.

  • have had my child in this school since she was 2 1/2 yrs old and she is now 7 and she has mastered cursive and reading chapter books. I trusted the process and didn't push my agenda on what I thought the process should be and the results have been fabulous. I can't say enough how wonderful this school!

  • We enrolled our son, now 4, in CMS in the fall of 2009, and we’ve been impressed with the school. CMS exemplifies and excels at everything we love and appreciate about the Montessori method of teaching children, fostering creativity and a love a learning while nurturing a child’s sense of exploration and discovery. Not only has our child grown more independent and socially involved, but we believe CMS has contributed to his sense of self-worth and confidence.

Further, CMS is a community of families which are all involved and committed to making the school the best it can be. CMS is accredited with the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI).

  • My son is in his 3rd year of the primary program at Community Montessori School. It's very convenient to our home in Round Rock. The setting is beautiful with lots of trees and a huge playground with a wooden playscape and playhouse. CMS is a legitimate Montessori school, affiliated with AMI. some of the other "Montessori" schools in the area are just daycares that use the name. The difference will be obvious when you see the campus. The faculty are truly amazing. My son's guide and assistant really understand him and love him and bring out the best in him. His love of math and geography and his social skills are growing so fast!

  • My daughter attends this wonderful school set on 18 acres in SE Georgetown. She has developed a love of learning and self-confidence thanks in large part to her loving guides and assistants. She is an accomplished reader, is working on long division, and is writing a play with a few classmates (in cursive). CMS also fosters a spirit of participation by the parent community through involvement in committees and events. The campus is beautiful with gardens for each classroom, a school cat, and lots of chickens. Throughout the year, students sell their produce to raise funds for field trips and other projects. CMS programs serve children from 18-months through sixth grade with a possibility of adding an adolescent program in future. Our family loves this school!
