  • This school isn't the best . the teachers were often careless for our work. while i was there our teachers cried of frustration and we had several teachers quit while we were there because of the "stress" we caused.

  • This is a really poor school. I went there for 7th and 8th grade. There was a lot of gang activity, violence, and drugs. I would always get beat by other kids simply for being caucasian (a 2.1% minority). I would have to stay in a class room during lunch out of fear of the other kids (if lunch wasn't canceled due to gang activity). My locker was repeatedly broken into and items inside destroyed by small incendiary devices such as m-80's. I had a gun pulled on me. I had my books taken from me only to be returned with large gang insignia marked into the covers to make me a "mark" to be harassed. When I would try to go to the counselor for help I would just be asked "are you sure you want to report this, they will only get you again" or the counselor would say "their parents wont do anything about it anyways". This all was around 1992-1994. I sure hope this school is a lot better than it used to be. My parents had us move out of the area so I wouldn't to go to Paramount High School, a very hostile environment. I am 29 year old now, I will carry what I went through at that school for the rest of my life.

  • Alondra is no longer a k-8 school. It is now a middle school. The food is way better than it use to be and we now have lockers.
