  • Being a former student at Highland Elementary from the time i was in 2nd grade until graduating with honors in 6th grade, i believe i came to know the design of the schools economy and teaching structure. Personally, i enjoyed Highland Elementary for several reasons, one, because of the teachers and staff. I knew, no matter what that i had immense support from both my teachers, the office staff, and from the principal. Second of all was the way that i was taught. I was given a separate instruction, being as i was in a G.A.T.E certified classroom, and separate lessons to accommodate my separate learning abilities. The environment was also a considerable thing to congratulate. I always felt that i was being ensconced in a educational environment with complex teaching strategies ranging in the lessons to the tack boards on the wall. No matter what, there was an answer, if i had a problem, there was sure to be a solution. I want to rate Highland Elementary as an A, thank you to the staff for educating me and leading me to a future in which i was able to excel in all academic pursuits...
