  • Franklin High School is a great school. I strongly believe that Mr. Gauna is going to bring Franklin to the top. He's a good principal who truly care about his students and the school. To the person who received F's, that's your problem not Mr. Guana. You obviously aren't committed to school because you wouldn't have waited until your senior year to worry about graduating with your low grades.

  • The Principal Mr.Guana promised to let me stay until the end of my senior year! I was behind credits and i talked to him to see if there was anything i could do and he said, "Don't worry mijo You did the right thing by talking to me I'm not going to drop you from school." Guess what? He did, because the computer showed i had F's Because i turned work in late. I told him we could've talked to my teachers to see that i had better grades but it looked like he didn't care. He said he had started the paperwork and it was to late. I hope they fire him and replace him with vice principal Juan Salas! I had a great time at Franklin until Mr.Guana became principal.

  • The school is not all that bad. In comparison to the other SUSD schools it has the lowest drop out rate and the gang violence is not as bad as Chavez. There are also programs available at franklin that are not available anywhere else in Stockton.

  • The kids are getting robbed there right and left. The funding for the VAPA (visual and performing arts) courses keeps getting misdirected to other programs, the counselors and administrators are unreachable and the teachers are unsupported. Now they're bringing in even younger kids when they can't adequately educate the ones they already had. Bad idea all the way around. This school is a disaster waiting to happen.

  • The counselor made it as difficult as he possibly could for my daughter to get the classes she needed to graduate high school. He also made her take classes she did not need. It was so bad she went to an adult school.
