(1 / 5) Flag as inappropriate - This school is terrible. Math teachers hate math, English teachers hates kids, all the students are undisciplined and disrespectful. I am a teacher and I recommend staying away from the Granby school system.

(5 / 5) Flag as inappropriate - Granby Memorial High School is one of the best public schools in the state of Connecticut. We offer over a dozen AP classes with most students who take the exam scoring a 4 or 5. We also continuously tie for first in the state on the 10th grade CAPT tests. Aside from the test scores that distinguish our school from others, we have a tremendous learning environment. Our teachers, administrators, and students are kind, caring, and receptive to all problems. Our sports teams often bring home league and state titles as well, especially the Field Hockey, Soccer, and Wrestling teams. The music department has also been known to produce outstanding musicians, consistently sending students to All-States and winning top awards in music competitions. Overall, Granby Memorial is the perfect school for anyone who is willing to take on a challenge and accept the multitude of opportunities that come one's way. Every year we have several graduating students accepted into Ivy League college (especially Princeton, Brown, and Cornell) and at least a dozen others attending other top-notch colleges including Haverford, Hamilton, Colby, Brandeis, Tufts, Middlebury, and Georgetown.
