  • I believe if the new principal of the school would be more involved with the parents then school will once again become the shinning star it use to be. Also I truly believe that teachers should not run the school when the principal is not their are many key staff members able to handle the day to day functions. Also who is providing educational instruction to these chioldren when said teacher is walking through the building stating " That I am in charge". Then for the teacher to always recite chapther 25 when in all actually chapter 25 does not apply in some instance. Also from experince dealing with dcps for the last 23 yrs no educational aide are allowed to teach a class if the teacher is absent. At your school I guess the rules don't apply but when the people downtown is made aware of these problems then you guys get upset. Malclom X. Elementary use to be the school all parents wanted their child to attend ,now you guys are lucky if you can really get the neighborhood children to attend. Before your staff start throwing bricks at the parents maybe they should sit down and take a good look at themselves. The staff at your school is so afraid of losing their jobs that they go along with anything that is dish out to them ,but as a parent of a child that attends this school I will not . I believe the same education that the children recieve in the other quardants of the city should be given to these children here at your school. When the federal government gives the money to our school systems every year they do not differentiate what quardant the schools are in.

    Sincerely yours
A Parent That Cares About The Children At Malcolm X. Elementary
