  • Very weak leadership & interest in the students. The teachers that I came across could care less about the students. My daughter does not speak Spanish but was forced to take Level 2 Spanish, instead of Level 1 because her last name is Hispanic. The vice principals, guidance counsler, Spanish dept.and Regional Area office all said there was nothing that could be done. They would not let her drop the course and by the end of the semester the F she received caused her grade point average to go down and she was kicked off the basketball team. The way the coach did this was by telling her in front of the team-how embaressing! The coach didn't even have enough decency to take her aside in her office and ask her what was going on. Finally when I called the News about the situation...Finally the principal agreed to speak with me. She would be allowed to take Spanish 1 but they redused to take the F from her grade average. At that point my daughter refuse to go back to school which launched me into a long ordeal with finding alternative education for her because the school board wouldnt allow me to put her in a school in another distrinct and I didnt have the money to put her in a private school. The people at this school do not have any intelligence!
