I understand MCREST rationale to eradicate the homeless However, going into a community without consulting not one resident is wrong. However, after reading the Clinton Township Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees which I strongly suggest your read. http://www.clintontownship-mi.gov/ click and search for the 9.0.08 meeting minutes it is disturbing. Ms Jimetta Lewis who lives in Casco Township, Michigan CT Board Trustee Sowerby then ask Lewis as to whether they have modeled this proposed facility after any existing facility currently operation in a similar manner. Ms. Lewis replied that they have viewed five (5) Safe haven locations on film that they looked at a few years ago. There is one in Detroit, and Washtenaw County has a �"Safe Haven.†THEY WATCHED A FILM TWO YEARS AGO AND THAT IS THE TRUTH. I will be sure to let my wife know while she is being accosted by a homeless man in our driveway that Ms. Lewis while relaxing at her Casco Twp home that she watched a video on how to run a shelter for 25 seriously mentally ill men.
