  • My children have attended Peoria Horizons Charter for several years. The first couple of years there was a feel to the school that was very energetic and positive but this year has been very disappointing to me as well as several parents. Administrators and teachers are constantly being moved around or quitting. There is something wrong with how things are being ran and the teachers don't seem to have much faith in the curriculum them selves which intern effects the children's academics and behavior tremendously. They do not have a system in place when it comes to redirecting the children and rely solely on the parents for guidance and discipline and are constantly calling the parents to pick there children up over normal child like behaviors that teachers should be able to handle on there own with back up from parents. They do not have much control over there classrooms since certain teachers and administrators have left. There basis is good but they just came seem to stream line the school in general.
