(1 / 5) Flag as inappropriate - Hawthorne is not a parent friendly school. This what caused me to be negative toward the school. The principal tries to keep a tight reign on the school and do not allow parents outside her clique to feel comfortable. I as a parent should not have to be policed to the point that I can't go down a certain hallway to talk to my daughter's teacher. The principal is very controlling and she expects people to be intimated by her presence. The overall instruction and attitude of the teachers is poor as well.

(5 / 5) Flag as inappropriate - I went to Hawthorn Elementary for my sons 3rd grade field day(...) was very rude he told my family and I we had to leave because we were not on a volunteer list and hadn't been fingerprinted what kind of crap was that to see a 3rd grade field day you need to be finger printed what bull is that they need to get it together and learn how to treat the people who support their school.
