  • turner county high is nothing but a mess, and the principal is not doing his job very well. The food in the lunchroom is very nasty, and we have the same thing every week.

  • I just wanted to congratulate the Students for the Integrated Prom this year. Here in Los Angeles we are having so many Racial problems between African American and Latinos and it was just heart warming to read about young people deciding to put their differences aside and come together as a group of students. All of your lives will be enriched because of this decision and I just wanted to write to you and say how proud I am of all of you for this decision that you made to be one School. I know your lives will be enriched forever.

    Chief of Staff

  • I'm writing in regards to the article that I read online (MSNBC). Where do I begin to the story? I'm happy, just sad that it has taken so long for this event to take place in Ashburn Georgia.
The Prom is something that every young person looks forward to. I'm glad that I did not allow close minded people to keep me from perusing my dreams. God bless you Mr. Principle for having an open spirit and not a close mind. For as we all know, a mind is a terrible thing to waste. Shame on some of the teachers that were a part of the Turner County Staff who sat back and did nothing. One voice can and will make a difference. I am a successful young lady who will not let anyone tell me I can not make it in this world. My prayer is that all students will participate and have a wonderful time.

  • I am not a parent in this school district, I am actually a parent from the midwest. However I saw an article on MSN about your upcoming prom at your school. And I and so many others take our hats off to you all. It is such an awesome achievement even to recognize the need for uniting races together. Breaking the chains that have been passed on to us from those we love and respect will always be one of the most challenging aspects of our lives. It is a time when the right answers can only be found by looking inward into your own heart. God made you alone, there is no other like you, so look in your heart to find the truth. And then like so many of you in this school already have, find the courage to proclaim the truth! God Bless you and your principal and administration for supporting you in breaking the chain of segregation. Enjoy your 2007 prom, together!
