  • I Love the scanners because now you can get more time for eating lunch and I don't have a problem with it!

  • in August 2005 our school denied all children the ability to purchase lunch unless they scanned via biometrics. After my son was scanned without my consent or knowledge regardless of our wishes, I wrote Illinois legislation and on Jan 18,06 SB 2549 was introduced . Now my children do not have to scan to eat at school, however it is my belief that all of the childrens rights were violated not just mine.Contact your local Senators & State Reps and ask them to vote yes for SB2549 prayerfully when passed to be known as Brooke & Gunners Law. We are telling this story to ensure other schools do not make this same mistake & to help protect childrens rights.
