Arizona Connections Academy (ACA) provides a new form of public school that students can attend from home. This unique program combines
· the expertise and accountability of publicly funded education,
· strong parental involvement,
· and the flexibility of online classes.
Tuition-free Public School for Grades K–12
Connections Academy operates one school in Arizona under contract to the Arizona Connections Academy (ACA). ACA is a public charter virtual school that was approved by the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools to serve grades K–12. The school accepts students from anywhere in the state.
Parents pay no tuition for students to attend ACA. Students are considered to be enrolled in a public school.
Materials Provided by the School
- Arizona-certified teachers,
- textbooks and other curriculum materials,
- online resources, such as movies and encyclopedias,
- and a loaned computer and subsidy for Internet service.
All materials, including the computer and reusable curriculum materials, must be returned if the student is no longer enrolled. Students are required to take all state mandated, standardized tests in person at locations designated by the school.
Connections Academy is accredited by The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA), and the Arizona Connections Academy school is also accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

(5 / 5) Flag as inappropriate - We started with Connections Academy for the 2009-2010 school year. My daughter had been in a regular public school from Kindergarten through 5th Grade. After we moved within a new school district I was not happy with the test scores and larger class sizes. I researched different schools and found Connections Academy. The first year was a tough start, mostly because I was a little unprepared. But half way through we got a good system going. This year has been great, currently my daughter is in the 7th Grade. The curriculum is outstanding, the communication with teachers is awesome. They have a great online Learning Management System that is easy to use.
