School Description

Colorado Connections Academy (ColoCA), formerly Denver Connections Academy, provides a new form of public school that students can attend from home*.

This unique program combines:

·         the expertise and accountability of publicly funded education,

·         strong parental involvement,

·         and the flexibility of online classes.

Tuition-free Public School for Grades K–12

The Colorado Connections Academy full-time program is a partnership with Denver Public Schools that has been in operation since the Fall of 2002. ColoCA serves students from anywhere in Colorado in grades K–12.

There is no tuition for students to attend Colorado Connections Academy. Students are considered to be enrolled in a public school.

Materials Provided by the School

·         Colorado-certified teachers,

·         textbooks and other curriculum materials,

·         online resources, such as movies and encyclopedias,

·         and a loaned computer, printer, and subsidy for Internet service for students in grades 1–12.

Connections Academy is accredited by The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA), and the Colorado Connections Academy school is also accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
