Florida Virtual School and Florida Connections Academy, both long-time leaders in online learning have joined forces to become “Florida Virtual School’s Connections Academy,” or “FLVSCA”. Through this best-of-breed partnership, we now offer the highest performing, “A” rated public virtual K–8 program in Florida.

Florida Virtual School's Connections Academy (FLVSCA) provides a new form of school that students can attend from home. This unique program combines

·         the expertise and accountability of publicly funded education,

·         strong parental involvement,

·         and the flexibility of online classes.

Tuition-free Public School for Grades K–8

FLVSCA is a K–8 virtual school provider that has been approved by the Florida Department of Education and the Florida legislature. There are specific legislative and regulatory limitations concerning eligibility and availability to students in Florida.

Materials Provided by the School

·         Florida-certified teachers,

·         textbooks and other curriculum materials,

·         and online resources, such as movies and encyclopedias.

 

Florida Connections Academy is fully accredited by both The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA), and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).
