  • My son has had the honor to attend WMS for two school terms. I cannot begin to express the heartfelt gratitude for the staff. Each and everyone of them are a Blessing! The involvement with students and their activities are beyond reproach. It's an overwhelming experience to be a part of an education system that I can honestly say, CARE for students.

  • I have worked as the cook at Warren Middle School for the 2006-2007 school year. Although I have never worked in a school system before, I have vast experience in management and cooking. My opinion may not mean much, but I have seen great concern for the students from some teachers and staff. I hope that I think that the whole staff of Warren Middle School has great concern for the learning, health, and nutrition of 6th 7th and 8th grade students. Even though I am just the cook, I am proud to send our 8th graders to the high school next year. our head of Child Nutrition is not only a Clinical Dietitian, she has over twenty years of extensive experience in nutrition education, and I look forward to helping her bring her department to the next level. The concern she has had, and the money she has saved the tax payers, cannot be denied. All I can say is that I look very forward to working with all of these people next school year. I will request a meeting with the new Principal of Warren Middle School, and see if he/she has any ideas on how I can do my job better. Thank you for taking the time to read my opinions.

PS. I hope that some of these students will tell their younger brothers and sisters that they will have more food choices, and enjoy their lunch much more, when they get here.

  • I have had the privilege of cooking for the students for the 2006-2007 school year. Although I have probably been considered to be another "lunch lady", I would like to think that I have improved the food quality, whether it has been appreciated or not. If students ask me if they can have a little extra food, I don't have a problem with that, as long as it isn't an every-day inquisition, and as long as it doesn't greatly interfere with the budget. This is my first year cooking for Warren Middle School. I look forward to another year of educating the children on proper nutrition, and advising them on what they should eat, to gain the energy that they need for every-day life, to gain the knowledge they need to succeed in sports nutrition, I may be just another "lunch lady", but I choose to be a man who makes a difference in children's lives. It is my privilege to cook for these students, and it is my privilege to give them advice on whatever I can, but most of the time I would advise them to speak to our Kitchen Manager, and has more experience and wisdom than I could ever hope to have.
