  • As a parent of a 7th grader I am extremely pleased with the experience thus far. I would like better communication with the new principal, but beyond that, I believe this to be an outstanding opportunity. The workload is very challenging and taught at a gifted pace (little to no repetition) but our daughter has excelled and it fits her to a "T". Areas that need improvement are
    1) better communication with the new principal (I was spoiled with the first one who sent weekly emails)
    2) better online support materials for parents who are helping kids with homework.

The fact this school has a curriculum and a method different from previous TAG experiences is THE VERY REASON our child is here. The historical methodology of TAG programs in SC is average at best. If it were the same as everything we experienced before, then I would be disappointed.

My child enjoys the school immensely and has succeeded quite nicely. I highly recommend this school for any kid who truly is gifted.

  • This school is providing my son a very positive experience. He enjoys school and is making many friends with similar interests (and that get his sense of humor). He finds his time in school well spent and challenging. He does not have homework just for busy work but rather to enhance his learning.

The board, principal, teachers and parents are very dedicated to creating the best possible school for gifted and talented students.
