  • I agree my child was expelled from regular school because he appeared to be under the influence. I drug tested him and it came up negative that evening. However, my son still got expelled. I agree with the first 2 reviews because my child attempted suicide. My son was such an optimistic child before he went to Jumpstart. I have heard from teacher's that the classes are so far behind because of interruptions by other student's that it's hard to teach anything. I have heard how cruel the kids are to one another and how the own (...) will cheer on fights before breaking them up but you wouldn't know about that. The school has enough corruption to cover up their flaws so they appear to be such a great opportunity for expelled students. I am not saying that some kids don't deserve to be there. As for the parents who say i need to learn to punish my child, show some maturity. Learn to stop your kid from smoking crack before you tell me how to discipline my own.

  • Operation Jumpstart Provides a psychologically damaging environment for students. My child hasn't seemed happy since he's gone there. He claims that the white walls drive him insane and he can't even learn because the classrooms are so dysfunctional. The school is school is supposed to be an opportunity for expelled students to continue their education, however the learning environment is chaotic and the school should offer more courses to it's students. I hear my son tell me everyday the negativity inside the school from both teachers and students. How is it justifiable to limit our youth's rights to a safe and positive learning experience? I believe if other parents knew what went on in the classrooms and if they knew the food they serve to students at OJAS, they would want reform. As most parents just want what's best for my child's well-being and future.

  • This is the worst school that my child has ever attended. My child has told me to my face that they would rather be in jail. They have been promising him that he would get out in december, then they say that he cannot. His hopes were really up, and I cannot bear to see him depressed like this anymore.
