  • I have 1 child already grad. from PHS and 2 that are currently attending. This is a great school that demands respect from the students and also demands students put their best foot forward. I feel my children are in a safe environment and also in a school where they will learn above and beyond what most public schools in La. offer. I wish zero tolerance would be back this year.

  • My son is in his second year at PHS. He started PHS as a freshman. We absolutely love it. Having attended a private school in Metairie for 7 years, I can tell you our children are very fortunate to have this school. He is very challenged in his advanced curriculum. Since my child has respect for himself and others, we have no discipline problems. Respectfulness of others and ourselves, along with presenting ourselves in the appropriate manner should be considered a given. I am sorry that the zero tolerance has been taken away this year. However, I hope the dedicated teachers, administration and disciplinarians will be able to continue the applications they have set forth to allow PHS to be an excellent place for those whom wish to receive, not only an excellent education but also have the tools to fit into society with high hopes for their future.

  • My name is Leona, and I am currently attending Ponchatoula High. I love this school. It's the best I've gone to so far, and I've gone to atleast seven schools already. If your a parent looking at this review, take my advice and send your child to this school.

  • All of my children and many grandchildren have graduated or attending Ponchatoula schools, and have nothing but good to say about them. My son was the first student to go to state in cross country. There was no cross country program at that time, the school made one to give him an opportunity. We never had a discipline issue, my children were expected to give respect

  • This is a horrible school,I will never send my kids back to Ponchatoula High.Ive went round and round with both the disciplinary and principal of this school and do not trust them with my children. This is a very closed minded school. They focus on treating your kids as if they aren't people they learn nothing from this. Highschool should be an enjoyable experience as well as a learning and growing experience this school is not worried about the education of your child but more worried about what they are wearing or what they can punish them for.My daughter came home the second day of school with a bruise on her arm and told me it was given to her because her disciplinary snatched her because of an un-tucked shirt thats ridiculous.don't send your kids to a place like this.
