I recently attended DHS's Fall Open House with my 9th grade student. I was pleasantly surprised at the orderliness &
positive atmosphere, as well as the detailed communication between my student's teachers & us parents. I have 4 grown children that are alumi of DHS. It's been 4 yrs. since I've had a Freshman here. I appreciate the smaller student population, (1,100 vs. 1,350 in Sept. 2005) as well as smaller classroom size. The Deering Coaching concept is new to me as a parent. It seems like an added benefit, to the traditional Guidance Office/Counselors.
