This school could do so much better. The educational standard in Howard county is the same in all places. However, it shows that the standard of excellence is never true. If Patuxent was anything like it says it is, it would contend with schools such as Clarksville, which I would have attended if I had not moved.

The problem might be the people, however. my fellow students are not a very intelligent lot. this causes low MSA scores, and lower educational standards for the overall student body.

Also contributing is the lack of quality teachers. being in the presence of teachers that have issues is not very helpful. Although there are a few very good teachers, the majority of the teachers are not satisfactory.

Thus, Patuxent valley is not living up to it's status in Howard County.
