  • Caleb Barnum School is an excellent special education school! The teachers are really involved w/ the children, as is the principal. The reason I rated Barnum at only 3 is because they tend to over-exaggerate very minor situations & as a parent you could see how this could be considered frustrating! I have had to leave work to pick up my children over minor scrapes from falls & once was even alerted that my son was pale & flushed in the face; only to rush over there & arrive to find him playing & looking as normal as ever! Not once in about 20 times (over about a years time) has there been an issue that any nurse on this planet couldn't handle! Please beware of this because even other Taunton public schools acknowledge that this particular school tends to do this regularly. However, as long as your child doesn't attain any minor scrapes, get tired occasionally or burp too loud; you'll enjoy them attending the school.
