  • CAA was great seriously. I'm Michael Wilson I went there for 6 years and my parents were involved. Maybe that's the problem. Parents not being involved. And I bet most of you don't even remember what it was like. I'm a Junior in High School but I know what I'm talking about. If you don't believe me ask Mrs. Wickens (M.J.) or Ms. Cerda or Mrs. Rawlings if they still work there.

  • This school sounds like Pattengill under it's current leadership. Maybe the whole District is this way. Maybe that's why they are losing students by the buckets. Current Principal stated that he was placed at Pattengill to get "rid" of the undesirables, "to clean it up". I hope they "clean" themselves right out of a job. He talks about other people's children so you know he talks about yours too. I think we should all get together and home school our kids. This school district wants to label them and get rid of them. The teachers won't communicate unless forced. Talk about "restorative justice" at Pattengill, they only use it for certain people, probably the Principal's son. The only "justice" at Pattengill will be when they get some administrators and teachers that care about "educating" and not "judging". I could go on and on, but really, do you think anyone cares? That's the biggest joke. We all care about our child(ren), but not about each others and that's the folly. There are too many childern that no one cares about. I can guarantee you that they don't care about them at Pattengill.

  • I'm very dissapointed with this school many things have changed. My daugther has been attending for 2 years and it will be her last if changes are not made. I'm looking for another school! The first thing that makes me very upset is to see that everyone thinks they are the boss. And have a says to everything. The so called person who likes to be called Doctor is a total drama queen. and does give children bad names. A very unlikeable person when you first meet her. Also if problems arise in school you find out from other parents not the school The so called facility spread rumors and children hear them and past it around. Very unprofessional!! I also have two grandchildren who also attend caa and also will not be returning unless changes are made. As for the principal she seems to always be in a meeting. Haven't met her yet, the last principal was fair and listen to the children and correct matters if need and was firm and let you know if something was wrong. The school lacks leadership and respect. The so called drop off and pick up lanes are a joke you have parents that park and go into the school and make it very hard to exit in the morning which also makes me late to my appointments. This issue has been brought to the school and of course they put it in the newsletter that no one reads or can't read, force action needs to be taken maybe ticketed? It depend on who you are. My children went to be educated not to be mistreated. My daughter loved her computer and spanish classes but they took that away. And now she goes to band, guiter classes and loves it and soon they will take that away too. Also the school smells and is very dirty. And teachers seem to change every year the only way that I would keep my child there if some changes were made.

  • My children have been in attendance for about 4 years. I am totally unsatisfied with how the school is run and the amount of funds that seem to miss this school. Capital Area is on it's 5th pricipal, and the staff and teachers change every year. This is the last year for my children and I will never recommend Capital Area to anyone that is looking for a school. There are no books for the children to take home, and the gym teacher is also the "Special Ed" teacher. The Gym, is also the cafeteria. I also blame nyself for not removing my children before now. I need a place that is sound and offers foundation. Their primary focus is "Paragon." What about American history, public relations, media government, current events? Aren't our children our future, how can they be our future if they are only taught what happened in the past? And can I mention the "Behavior Specialist?" They are on #2 this year so far. I hadn't seen, heard of, or even met the latest one until recently. When I introduced myself, she didn't even look me in the face, but she is going to teach our children "Behavior?"

    Sincerely,

    One Disgusted Parent.
