  • Mattawan is the best and biggest little town school district you will find. Our academic levels soar and our children learn both traditionally and non-traditionally. Our teachers think outside the box and treat our children like their own. Our parent participation exceeds any district! We are one great big family and we all wear our wildcat pride on our sleeves! No one ever expects to get good parking at any of the functions, even when you arrive early, because not only do Moms and Dads come but Gmas and Gpas Aunts and Uncles Friends and neighbors all come to show support! When children move on to other grades our teachers just don't forget, they host luncheons with the previous classes and keep in contact with the students throughout their years at Mattawan. Our playgrounds are the best and there are many eyes to make sure the play is safe. Most of the classrooms have a groundbreaking technology called a promethean boards, and what a WONDERFUL item for a classroom to have! Go to www.prometheanworld.com to see a demonstration. This is going to really revolutionalize the way that students learn and we are SO proud that Mattawan took the leap to incorporate these interactive boards into our daily learning! We joke "its one small step for the world but one GIANT leap for Mattawankind!!"
Mattawan is a spectacular school if you are interested in your childrens education and want to give them the skills to exceed in the future.
It is not a school for parents whom want to dump off their kids and not take an interest in their education. If you aren't willing to take the extra steps it takes to become a Mattawan Parent you will be miserable in our school district. If you don't expect your child to bring homework home and have reading to do and study for the spelling test on Friday find another school. But if you are up to the challenge and want your child to attend an excellent school without the private school price come join us we would love for you to join our Wildcat Pride!!
