  • I used to attend Hackett High School, but I transfered to Hartford my 9th grade year. The classes at Hartford are more advanced, and the teachers care more about your grade. At Hackett the teachers didn't care if you finished and turned in your homework, or even if you came to class. I had 4 people in my 2nd hour English class that NEVER came to class, or turned in work, but 2 of them still ended the year with a "B"!! At Hartford, you get recognized for your success, and you have teachers who acctaully care. At Hackett, I really didn't learn anything, Im a very hard working student, so I work very hard for my grades, but when I transfered to Hartford,I was very, very behind on my lessons. My parents had to hire me a private tutor, just so I could be at the level as my other classmates. Every class we had I was at least 2 chapters behind on the leassons. Hackett didn't teach me anything, and I was very dissapointed at the teaching level of the teachers, and the learning level of the students. Hartford school has an AMAZING FFA program, and an even better Basketball program. If I had to go back to Hackett, I would choose Union Christian instead.
