  • My husband and I, Adolph & Irene Weber, attended "Grand Parents Day" activities on Friday, Oct.1,2010. Jacob Weber Mooney is our grandson. It was an absolutely delightful day. Everyone was so cordial and made us feel so comfortable and welcome. Jacob's teacher, Ms Glasgow, managed her classroom in an extremely skilled, gentle, professional manner. It is easy to lose control when there are so many visitors around and about. We were genuinely impressed.

The program in the music room was great. The children obviously enjoyed themselves and were learning as well. The instructor had such an engaging personality and teaching style he had all of us clapping our hands and making funny sounds. We loved it !!

I have been a post secondary instructor, program manager, interpreter and tutor for more than 30 years. I have evaluated classroom interpreters on site, for the Leavenworth, Olathe and Kansas City, Kansas School Districts. Having spent so many years in educational settings I feel I have a good basis for comparison. In my opinion John Nowlin has an exceptional facility with equally exceptional instructors, staff and programs.

We are very close to our grandson and visit with him on a daily basis so we stay abreast of his school activities & experiences. He is learning and enjoying it all, so much. We are quite happy he is a student at John Nowlin Elementary School.
