  • Seriously! Half the parents that complain about how bad the school and staff are cannot spell or write a sentence correctly!
Maybe YOU are the problem. not the school!

  • If you are reading these comments, you can very tell that Swainston is not a very good school. Every student that commented on this school has bad grammatical errors, and horrible spelling. There are even some parents that fall into the same category..."My Daughter got her hair "did".....WOW, and we wonder why our kids cannot pass proficiency tests??? The apple doesnt fall far from the tree.....Im sure every school has problems with both gangs and drugs, but I would guess that many of the teachers love their jobs, and care about their students....It is only half the solution....Parents need to do their part in raising their children, and not only blame teachers when THEIR children screw up!!

  • I got to this school and I love it. Sure we have our problems but all schools do. If you send your kid to a different school, they might not have experience that hey could get here. I also think that this school has improved over the years since i was here in sixth grade and I am now going to be and eighth grade. It also has great arts programs. :D

  • Both of my children have gone to this school and though it has imporved in the area of student safety from its previous years troubles, this school is still on academic probation. For the past 5 years it has failed to meet the state and federal minimum guidelines for meeting educational goals. If you need proof, go to the CCSD website and check this school's acountability report for the past 5 years. The previous Principal Mrs. Smothers did a horrid job, hopefully Mrs. Desiderato will be able to do a better job and get this school up to snuff.

  • My daughter goes to this school. She was suspended for having her hair did. I took her to the beauty shop and got weaves in her hair for $100.

She was suspended by a dean who also have the same weaves in her hair, but not nearly as nice.

This dean treated me like I was a student too. She very unprofessional and yelled at me in front of teachers. A teacher ask her a question and she yells at the teacher too.

This is not a good school. Kid gets caught with drugs and makes the TV news and my daughter gets suspended for hair.
