  • I think that this could really be a good school. Just a couple of "kinks to work out."
The first thing they need to do is look at the breakfast/lunch/recess "duties." I was raised not to yell. I don't like yelling and minimize it at home, however, when I am at the school, that is all I hear, yelling, and most of it about little, irrelevant things, like wanting to sit next to a friend at lunch, or getting something out of a backpack at breakfast time! I don't like it in my home, and do not appreciate my kids being yelled at so much during the school day.
Next, the homework load! My poor 5th grade daughter comes home with a Science Project, 4 pages of math, TFK, and SFA every night. I put her to work at 4:30 in the afternoon, and at 7:00 that poor girl is STILL working. She gets depressed and down on school for it.
I do like the principal and vice principal however, along with my other daughter's teachers, Mr. Smith and Mrs. Barnett! They are great!
