  • This is one of the worst schools my child has attended. Its a shame that we live here and my child has to go to oaklyn. Some of the teachers let the student just fall behind and do nothing to help them succeed. The school constantly sends home flyers and fundraisers asking for money even though i never see anything from the profit. The staff is very unprofessional and judgemental. If you have an issue to discuss you are treated like a disease and the school defends itself while ignoring the problem. The parents are immature when it comes to helping and being a part of the schools activities, they are arogant and compete with eachother as if they themselves are students. I think it is an absolute disgrace how this town upholds a reputation such as this. The school should be warm, friendly, and compassionate of the children and the parents. The education success should always be most important and parents with teachers should work together for the students not theirselves. Money raised should go to the school and supplies...not to a hot air balloon that lifted staff while the children sat on the ground watching with wishes to be on it too. oh yeah, and these so called social events? They arent for the kids, they are so that parents and staff can judge eachother and compete with whos best and etc. while going home to talk on the phone about whos who and who did what.

  • Roaches. Lice. Unprofessional staff. This school isn't a place for children. The students fight so much that they have special programs, groups, and ideas that don't even help resolve problems. Why call this a school? The parents sit around and talk about other parents all day. It's a gossip convention with some dirtiness on the side. I HATE THIS SCHOOL
