  • Excellent school program, excellent teachers and principal. This rural school has saved our child from being lost in the suburban rat race. Thank you for all the caring involvement in our childs scholastic progress.

  • I had 2 children in this school. 1 finished and went to High School, but was so behind I had to get a tutor. While in the 8th grade my daughter had no math teacher she was in between stages she passed the assessment test while the rest of her group failed so the instead encouraged her they wanted to hold her back, of course I said NO. I then paid $10.00 an hour for a math tutor. That is just an example of 1 of many situations. Now my other child I pulled out in the 3rd grade my child was pin pointed for all the bad he ever did he was messed with by 1 child with ADD and came home almost daily with torn pants etc. this went on for 2 years, my son finally defended himself and was suspended. well this happened at 9:30 A.M. I received the call at 2:15 P.M. by the school secretary not the administrator. That was the last straw for me my son has never gone back. My kids are at different schools now. They were both 2 to 3 years behind when leaving Alta Dutch Flat. My son after leaving would not talk, would keep his hood on over his head and not look at anyone he was ashamed. Now after 3 years at his new school he is happy and confident. Alta Dutch Flat School for me and many other parents I know was a very bad experience, Alta went from 200 students 3 years ago to about 70 students now k-8.
