  • West has made a huge impact on my life, because I was not only in the West Johnston Marching and concert bands, I was a wrestler and involved in every club at the school. IF you haven't ever been a student at West then don't talk about it. And yes a certain someone is tearing our school down little by little but that doesn't mean that our school is not excelling in every organization and sport and band programs that my school has to offer. People should really think before they talk because if you haven't been there and done that then don't talk.

  • People may complain about our school but I know from experience that West offers a learning environment that is not found very many places in North Carolina. I have many friends who attend schools [both private and public] in Wake county that do not offer the classes or teachers that West does.
I would just like to say that the class of 2008 produced a Morehead Scholar, 2 NC Teaching Fellows, and a Gate's Scholar, not to mention an abundance of other scholarships.

I have defended my school to the best of my ability.

  • I agree. Teachers were unfair and were not teaching students what they came there for. My junior year especially was disrupted because of the behavior that should not ever be tolerated. I'm sure that students currently enrolled might have similar feelings.
