  • Recently I had spoken to the principal of Dabney about an issue about the Royalty Step team that my daughter has been particpating in.I brought to his attention how I thought my child and the other children had been treated unfairly by not being included in the upcoming program, and how several of the "B" team had quit due to lack of encouragement and not being taught the same steps as team "A". I was told that a letter would be given out explaining what each team is for. However, my daughter came home on Friday upset and still wanting to quit the step team, because once again her team is excluded from going to a movie "Stomp The Yard" with team "A", so I do not feel that this matter was resolved and I feel that more parents should step forward in this matter so our children won't be discouraged about getting involved in school functions or feel that they're not good enough... I have always thought Dabney was a great school, and I had gone to the pricipal over the years whenever either of my children were having a problem, and the problem was resolved. Now, I feel disappointed in the way this was handled, because the issue wasn't resolved, and my child feels discouraged and left out.
