My children have had an excellent experience at Taylor Road. My children are "nonwhite" and have been treated with nothing but kindness and respect by the adults at Taylor Road. My son is an extremely physically active boy who has been reigned in by firm consistency at Taylor Road. My children did not speak English when they entered Taylor Road in first grade and are mostly caught up in 3rd grade!

Taylor Elementary School has a racial problem. I think the principal is especially biased towards certain kids in his school and does not have an even-handed approach to discipline. Most of the teachers I dealt with in the past were excellent but there are a few there now who have little experience in dealing with the kids. Supervision on the playground is minimal.I think Mrs.Banks and Mr.Beaane did a better job than the current principal is doing. Some students call others the N word and the principal says that is not important. He is heavy-handed against non-white kids.

I have been involved with Taylor Road for 3 years now with my first child. I did not know what to expect when she started there. The staff has been over and above excellent. The principal is one of the most outstanding principals. You can see the respect and takes his job seriously and with pride. He has the best staff I think in the district. Since being there I am very proud to say my kids go there. I have a new kindergartner who loves it there and has only been there two weeks. She has the same teacher as my oldest did. Our family thinks she is the greatest. Both my husband and I find this school to be the best.
