  • My daughter, Meghan, is a senior at FCC in the heatlth and rec program. She wants to be an EMT/firefighter. She went from a huge high school and her comfort zone, Gahanna Lincoln, to FCC. She likes the lab, the uniforms, all the new friends and the fact that she'll have college credits when she attends Hocking College next year. We love Mrs. Hugg, she's been very helpful and supportive. Meghan has been a good solid B student in the past but achieved a 4.0 her junior year and heading that way this year. As a parent mentioned below, I am only sorry I didn't know about the school when my older daughter went thru. She is in nursing and I know this program at FCC would have been beneficial. I know its a long bus ride, but I'm also grateful the school districts supply transportation so she can go there. A FCC! Thank you, Annette E. Wood

  • As a former student, I am proud to say that I attended FCC and completed their Health Technologies Program. It was the best decision I made during my high school career. The staff really supported and helped me get to where I am now (a Mount Carmel College of Nursing student). It's my sophomore year in college and I really owe FCC a big THANKS! I recommend this for students who are positive and hard working.

  • I currently attend Fairfield Career Center, and I think it was an excellent decision for my future because I feel prepared for the real world, and I do not regret attending a vocational school. The diversity is pretty wide spread, and the environment is safe and the teachers are more than just teachers, they are like our friends (not in a innappropriet way though). I am so happy I made the decision coming here, It was a great opportunity to try new things. It's a great place, and safe place.

  • In years past, career centers in general seemed to carry a negative reputation; however, I strongly differ on that opinion and reputation. My son Caleb, is currently a senior student in the Computer Support Technology (CST)program at Fairfield Career Center (FCC). The experience and education he has received is outstanding! His CST Teacher, Mr. James, has made an outstanding impression on Caleb, as well as his other academic teachers at FCC. FCC doesn't take the "outcasts", but only accepts students who are truly focused on their future. Students at FCC are given the competitive edge entering the workplace and college in comparison to their peers in their home schools. Each student is given high expectations and is encouraged and monitored on their progress in their chosen program. No slackers are allowed here!

FCC prepares our teens to face the business world with eyes wide open. Their focus/goal is to prepare our teens to be future employees, college students and adults that can easily adapt in our diverse society.

Caleb has always been a student that has done well in school, however, since attending FCC he seems to have soared. He truly ENJOYS going to school. His comment several times to me has been "it doesn't really feel like I'm at school because they treat us more like adults than students. The teachers seem to respect us as students and the office staff is always nice when you have to go to the office."

I do not hesitate to say, this is truly an environment that is focused on teaching and preparing your teen for his/her future! The guidance counselor is EXCELLENT as well as the staff, teachers, Director and Superintendent. It's obvious these individuals aren't there just to collect a PAYCHECK. FCC focuses on your student and the commitment to assisting him/her succeed.

Thank you FCC for giving my son the opportunity to enter the CST program. My only regret is that I didn't pursue this option for my oldest son. I feel he was short changed in so many ways by attending his home school. The preparation for college at FCC has been WONDERFUL and supportive. Not only will Caleb graduage with skills and certifications that will be marketable in the workplace, he also takes with him earned college credits. As a parent I rate this school as A !!......Evette Fields
